Sasan Jorjani is a researcher at the Center for Sustainable Energy at Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK), working in the Hydrogen Technologies and Resilient Energy Systems (HyRES) unit.

His main fields of activity are hydrogen safety, qualitative and quantitative risk analysis (QRA), and the development of safety strategies for hydrogen systems, particularly those related to hydrogen production, distribution, storage, and refueling infrastructures.

Working at FBK since 2024, Sasan Jorjani is involved in various European research projects about hydrogen technologies and safety (i.e., North Adriatic Hydrogen Valley, HI2 Valley, HERMES).

Other research interests include fire dynamics simulation (FDS) and the development of risk-based safety guidelines for emerging hydrogen applications.
