Samuele Balestreri is a researcher at the Center for Sustainable Energy, working in the Hydrogen Technologies and Resilient Energy Systems (HyRES) Unit.

His main fields of activity are hydrogen systems, with a particular focus on fuel cell systems and PEMFC technologies. His work spans the entire value chain – from process and system engineering, static and dynamic modelling, PFD/P&ID development, to market analysis and scenario assessment.

Working at FBK since April 2025, Samuele is involved in various European research projects related to the development and integration of hydrogen technologies for sustainable energy applications.
His previous research experience focused on the development of artificial neural network (ANN) models for photovoltaic power forecasting and real-time applications.
