Bolognese Michele

Researcher

Michele Bolognese is a researcher at the Center for Sustainable Energy, specializing in dynamic modelling, and is part of the HyRES Unit.

His main research activities focus on exploring various hydrogen production methods, including both high and low temperature technologies, hydrogen storage using metal hydride solutions, and methodologies for purifying hydrogen and syngas streams. He is responsible for developing comprehensive Balance of Plant (BoP) models to support the validation of control strategies.

Working in FBK since 2019, he has participated in multiple European research projects in the hydrogen sector, such as AMON, REMEDHYS, CLEANER, ALCHEMY, PROMETEO, SWITCH, and HYCARE, as well as providing expert consulting for commercial initiatives.

Michele Bolognese is also an active member of the Modelica Association, contributing to the advancement of dynamic simulation techniques for hydrogen Balance of Plant (BoP) systems and the development of state machine frameworks
