Luigi Margutti is a PhD student in Industrial Engineering at the University of Perugia, currently carrying out a research visiting at the Sustainable Energy Center of Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK). His main research activities focus on high-temperature electrochemical energy systems, particularly Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFCs), for power production and sustainable energy applications.
His research interests include the utilization of ammonia in SOFC systems, the development of electrochemical models, the experimental characterization of fuel cells, and the integration of fuel cells and electrolysis technologies into innovative energy systems. He is also involved in European research and educational initiatives in the hydrogen sector, including Erasmus+ Project H2Excellence, contributing to the development of advanced training activities and knowledge transfer in fuel cell and hydrogen technologies.
