Marco Cecchetti is a technologist at the Centre for Sustainable Energy working in the Battery and Electrification Technologies unit. He joined FBK in April 2025 and is mainly involved in the IPCEI project EuBatIn (European Battery Innovation), applying his expertise and skills for the design, engineering, prototyping, and testing of innovative Redox Flow Batteries, as well as the techno-economic evaluation and their integration in hybrid systems.

Prior to FBK, Marco studied and worked at Politecnico di Milano, graduating in Energy Engineering in 2018 and obtaining his PhD cum laude in Energy and Nuclear Science and Technology. Over eight years, Marco worked and conducted research on Redox Flow Batteries and other electrochemical energy conversion and storage technologies, collaborating with national and international partners from both academia and industry and contributing to the scientific literature through several publications.
