Giuseppe Sassone is a researcher at the Center for Sustainable Energy working within the Hydrogen Technologies and Resilient Energy Systems | HyRES Unit. Since joining FBK in 2024, his research activities primarily center on computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modeling and simulation applied to hydrogen-based energy systems.
Other research interests include energy conversion and storage, circular economy, renewable energy sources, solar fuels.
Giuseppe Sassone holds a Ph.D. in Electrochemistry and Material Science, carried out at CEA Grenoble, where his research focused on multiscale physics-based modeling, long-term testing and post-test characterization data analysis to investigate degradation mechanisms in solid oxide cells. He also holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Energy and Nuclear Engineering.
