Last February 19 and 20 in Rome, Gloria Gottardi (Senior Researcher and Scientific Advisor for Advanced Materials at FBK) and Emanuele De Bona (Researcher, FBK – Sustainable Energy Center) represented the Bruno Kessler Foundation at NEST Connect 2026, the national event dedicated to the strategic vision for the future of energy in Italy.
On the morning of February 19, they participated by invitation in the “Advanced Materials for Sustainable Energy” Working Group, hosted at Palazzo Rospigliosi in Rome and organized by StartupItalia and the NEST Foundation. The group, moderated by Massimo Cerofolini, a RAI journalist, brought together leading figures in national research (CNR, Sapienza University of Rome, Resilco), with the aim of contributing to the definition of the strategic trajectories of the “9xENERGY” Manifesto.
Gloria Gottardi and Emanuele DeBona’s contribution brought to the forefront the expertise of the Sustainable Energy Center in advanced materials, sustainable energy technologies, and transfer to industry, key elements for turning research into concrete impact.
In the afternoon and the following day, our two researchers participated in the NEST Connect 2026 public program, which brought together institutions, research centers, businesses, and European stakeholders to discuss tools, responsibilities, and visions for the new phase of the energy transition in Italy and Europe.
FBK presence confirms the role of the Sustainable Energy Center as a national player in building an energy innovation ecosystem capable of integrating research, industry, and policy.

Il 19 e 20 febbraio scorsi a Roma, Gloria Gottardi (Senior Researcher e Scientific Advisor for Advanced Materials di FBK) ed Emanuele De Bona (Researcher, FBK –Centro Sustainable Energy) hanno rappresentato la Fondazione Bruno Kessler a NEST Connect 2026, l’evento nazionale dedicato alla visione strategica per il futuro dell’energia in Italia.
Nella mattinata del 19 febbraio, hanno partecipato su invito al Tavolo di Lavoro “Materiali Avanzati per l’Energia Sostenibile”, ospitato a Palazzo Rospigliosi a Roma e organizzato da StartupItalia e Fondazione NEST.
Il tavolo, moderato da Massimo Cerofolini, giornalista RAI, ha riunito figure di primo piano della ricerca nazionale (CNR, Università la Sapienza di Roma, Resilco), con l’obiettivo di contribuire alla definizione delle traiettorie strategiche del Manifesto “9xENERGY”.
Il contributo di Gloria Gottardi e Emanuele DeBona ha portato al centro del confronto le competenze del Centro SE di FBK su materiali avanzati, tecnologie per l’energia sostenibile e trasferimento verso l’industria, elementi chiave per trasformare la ricerca in impatto concreto.
Nel pomeriggio, e nella giornata successiva, i nostri due ricercatori hanno preso parte al programma pubblico di NEST Connect 2026, che ha riunito istituzioni, centri di ricerca, imprese e attori europei per discutere strumenti, responsabilità e visioni nella nuova fase della transizione energetica in Italia e in Europa.
La presenza di FBK conferma il ruolo del Centro Sustainable Energy come attore nazionale nella costruzione di un ecosistema dell’innovazione energetica capace di integrare ricerca, industria e policy.
